Arabic linguistics has diversified so that it has come to be divided into several fields. This reflects the richness of the Arabic language and the variety of its vital domains. Accordingly, the linguistics researcher studies the text across multiple levels: the phonological level, the morphological level, the syntactic (grammatical) level, and the semantic level. These four levels are what study the literary and creative text in order to reach an understanding of the text—an understanding that reveals the course and dynamics of the text’s events. The research is divided into four sections: beginning with the phonological level, then the morphological level, then the syntactic level, and finally the semantic level, which brings together meaning and the purpose of studying phonetics and morphology—i.e., the structure of the word—and the word’s composition.
