The research aimed to identify the level of social interaction among students of the Open Educational College/Najaf Al-Ashraf Center. The research sample consisted of (65) male and female students from the third stage in the Science Department, who were selected using the simple random method from the total population of (1250) students. The descriptive approach was adopted, and the scale of (Kadhim, 2013), consisting of (46) items distributed across its sub-dimensions, was used. The validity and reliability of the scale were verified using appropriate statistical methods. The research results showed a moderate level of social interaction among the students of the Open Educational College/Najaf Al-Ashraf Center. The results also revealed that the level of social interaction among the college students was higher than the hypothetical mean of the scale, as the arithmetic mean of the sample reached (164.72), which is higher than the hypothetical mean of (138). This difference was statistically significant at the significance level of (0.05), indicating the presence of effective social interaction among the students. The research recommended the necessity of enhancing activities that develop social interaction for students of the Open Educational College across all academic stages and including materials in the curricula that promote this aspect among students. In light of the research results, the researcher suggests conducting a study to determine the relationship between social interaction and anxiety in other academic stages, as well as conducting studies to determine the relationship between social interaction and other variables.
