This research explores the concept of imagination in relation to interpretation and exegesis, a concept that has attracted the attention of researchers in linguistic, critical, and interpretive studies. The research is divided into two main sections. The first section examines the concept of imagination in both linguistic and technical terms, outlining the most prominent opinions on the subject and the differing viewpoints of scholars and researchers regarding its meanings and functions. It then presents the concept of interpretation linguistically and technically, clarifying the meaning closest to reality in understanding texts and uncovering their intentions. The second section is dedicated to studying exegesis, explaining its concept, importance, and areas of application. It also clarifies the differences between exegesis and interpretation and how exegesis is employed in understanding texts and deriving their underlying meanings. The research concludes with several key findings, most notably that imagination is a crucial tool in constructing meaning and enriching significance. Furthermore, it reveals that both interpretation and exegesis share the goal of understanding a text, although they differ in methodology and mechanisms for uncovering meaning. The research concludes with a summary of the main findings, followed by a list of sources and references
