Abstract

This research aims to study the stages of development of Arabic poetry from its emergence in the pre-Islamic era to the modern age, by employing artificial intelligence tools to analyze poetic texts. The study addresses the most prominent stylistic and structural features that Arabic poetry underwent across different periods: beginning with the unit of the verse line (bayt) in pre-Islamic poetry, passing through the diversification of purposes and themes in the Islamic and Abbasid eras, and reaching structural renewal in the poetic form among the poets of the Nahda and modernity. The research also explores how artificial intelligence—through natural language processing techniques and machine learning algorithms—can contribute to analyzing linguistic patterns, detecting stylistic changes, and interpreting the rhythmic and semantic structures of Arabic poetry. This opens new horizons for a deeper understanding of Arabic poetic heritage and its development.
