Abstract

The issue of another person’s property and the ruling on its destruction is regarded as one of the significant topics in Islamic jurisprudence and law, as it addresses the unlawful destruction of property owned by others. This subject raises numerous questions concerning the legal ruling on property destruction, the obligation of compensation, and the existence of Islamic regulations governing such acts. Wealth constitutes a fundamental pillar of human life and is an essential means of developing the earth, enabling individuals to fulfill their duty of worshiping Allah. As the religion of human nature (fitrah), Islam considers wealth a basic necessity of human life and has established comprehensive laws and guidelines that encourage its lawful acquisition, protection, preservation, and development. This study aims to explain the concept of another person’s property and the Islamic ruling on its destruction. It also reviews the various opinions of Islamic jurists and highlights the Islamic legal principles governing the destruction of property and the obligation of compensation through an analytical study of the relevant Qur’anic verses and Prophetic traditions.
