Abstract

Repetition in the Holy Qur’an is a high rhetorical style that aims to emphasize meanings and establish truths. It is one of the manifestations of Qur’anic inimitability, serving many rhetorical purposes, including: magnification, intensification (a sense of overwhelmingness), warning, and also emphasis. Hence, the importance of this research titled “Repetition of Sentences and Their in the Holy Qur’an: A Grammatical and Semantic Study.”Despite the many studies that have been conducted on this phenomenon in the Qur’an, the grammatical aspect has not been given a dedicated study section. Therefore, this research was designed to uncover the secrets of grammatical repetition and its significations in the Qur’an. The study is divided into an introduction and two sections: the introduction defines repetition linguistically and terminologically. The first section addresses verbal repetition and its forms, while the second section discusses semantic repetition and its forms. The research concludes with a conclusion that includes the most important results reached by the study.
